The Pigtek Above Ground Magnetic Pig Tracking
Equipment is a highly reliable pig tracking system that has been designed
specifically for field use. The current model is the result of ongoing
development of equipment first used in 1979.
The equipment operates on
the principal of detecting a change in magnetic field when a pig passes through
the pipeline next to the sensor. Most types of pigs, including spheres and
Polly/Foam Pigs, can be detected providing that they are fitted with a small
magnet. |

The Pigtek Magnetic Pig Tracking Equipment is a purpose built and
fully portable system, powered by 12 volt DC that can be taken from either a
vehicle power supply or a small battery pack.
