Dual/Multi Diameter Pigs

Pigtek are highly experienced in the design and manufacture of dual and multi-diameter pigs, capable of a large range of pipeline bore changes and associated applications.Bore changes of up to 60% have been achieved.

Every application involving a change in diameter holds its own unique challenges and we tackle most jobs by initially conducting a feasibility study. This then leads on to initial design and in many cases full scale trials of the pig in pipework, which replicates the proposed as-built situation. This enables the performance of the proposed pig to be assessed and enables any modifications and fine-tuning to be made prior to supplying production pigs that are fully compatible with the pipeline application.

We also have the capability to provide Dual Diameter Electronic Gauging pigs, which can be used to verify the geometric integrity of large bore diameter changes, where conventional gauging plates and geometry pigs cannot be used.
